Featured Artist: Todd of Tmusichans

I am rather excited to feature this artist for two reasons: I have never featured a pottery artist and I have yet to feature a male! So who is Todd of Tmusichans? He is an elementary school music specialist (23 years!) with a love of pottery.

Todd has taken several pottery classes and you can tell by his work - he truly enjoys pottery. He has an Etsy shop where several of his pieces are displayed. The item in the picture above is already sold, but I fell in love with it and had to post it anyways!

Todd has several peace sign pendants available on his site also! This particular pendant is made from terra cotta clay and then hand painted. He has several pendants in all sorts of colors and patterns available already made on his site, but he is happy to make a custom pendant should you need one!

I love this vase! It reminds me of something, which was made centuries ago, that could be found lurking in a museum . I'd love to stick some Texas bluebonnets or Indian paintbrushes in this vase and put it on my counter top.

This is probably my most favorite item in his shop, too bad it has been sold. I love how he captured not the entire image of Buddha, but simply his eyes and nose. Eyes, open or closed, can say so much about an image. Doesn't Buddha seem quite at peace? Hmm images at peace...peace signs... I am sensing a pattern here :)

  3. Terrific post! The Buddha is beautiful and just calms you down, you know. And the first piece you showed caught my eye right away! Nice job!
